Musiche per Immagini Guida all'Ascolto di 70 Brani che Suonando Descrivono Mondi

Musiche per Immagini
Guida all'Ascolto di 70 Brani che Suonando Descrivono Mondi is a new book by Marsilio dedicated to all the passionate, lovers of classic music. It's a real guide that will take in consideration 70 important pieces spacing from Baroque to the beginning of the XX century.
These pieces have been choosen because they have a lot to say to the listeners. They were created in a specific historical moment, so they mixed both historical instances and romantic visions of the existence; they were at first troubled pieces; they speak to the soul of people.
Personally I read being a fan the pages of Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Chopin, Cajkovskij and I found great interest. I confess I didn't know all the facts behind their immense and beloved works. These short articles at the various pieces start with an introduction to the reader of the historical contest and later what the artist wanted to communicate, and the various more technical phases of the construction of the music.
This book, being a guide shouldn't be read all together, of course, but focusing on the various pieces that we want to listen or we are listening at the moment to give them more corporeity and where possible, meaning.

Some good listening (explanations of these pieces in the book of course)

Highly recommended.

I thank Marsilio for the physical copy of this book.
