365 Family Dinners and Devotions Cookbook: A Celebration of Food, Family, and Faith by Kathleen Y'Barbo

I was with some American friends to Gubbio where I live. My friends wanted to discover my city, and we went to Saint Ubaldo the cathedral of the Saint Protector of the city. There, we had a lunch at a local restaurant. I was starting to eat when my friends asked me if we wanted to saying briefly a prayer to God for the food He gave us. I was enthusiastic for the idea and transported in my childhood, when our school teacher, during the elementary and intermediate school asked us to praying before to eat for thanking God for the food we would have enjoyed in a few while. I remember I did it at home as well and lost this habit only during my teenage age.
