Leaving the City Health and Happiness in the Other America by Jeffrey Tipton

Leaving the City Health and Happiness in the Other America by Jeffrey Tipton is an interesting book published by Earth-Books a division of John Hunt Publishing.

What, if people would prefer a countryside, little town or city instead of a crowded city like NYC just for naming one of the biggest crowded cities of the USA?

The author analyzes the level of stress probably accumulated by a city-guy, seeing also how poor can be his quality of life if this one spent in a place too competitive, with poor air quality, big expectations. Chronic stress that, with the time could be cause of important illnesses if not kept under control.

After all big cities are unnatural worlds admits Jeffrey focusing on the big natural tragedies that can affect some of them, like quakes, floods, inundations.

A big city is also a place where, potentially there is much more violence, so a lost of tranquillity in a daily base.

Infectious diseas

es are more happy and cheerful in a big city because of the intense amount of people that a virus, a bacterium can reach with extreme simplicity.

The same COVID has been a real, strong and sadly devastating illness in particular in big cities instead than places less populated, touched for sure by the pandemic, but in a lightest way.

I can tell you that I have personally  seen people of other countries leaving their big crowded cities for our areas, living here during the pandemic.

Why chosing a city or a place less stressing? For a best life-qualtiy. But...If your work is in the city? If you have other exigencies? If you wouldn't want for example lose your environment also if ready for the big change? Don't worry: Tipton has the proper answers for all your questions.

Beautiful, pleasant book. Highly recommended.
