It's a bedtime story thicute, new childrens book by Jolly Fish Press, Little Rabbit wants the Moon
by Lauren Kukla illustrations by Katie Markkula.
The plot is simple but tender: lady rabbit has had a bunch of bunnies. They're tender, nice and it's night. They are all sleeping, after a busy day: apart one of them.
This bunny wants to chat with her mother and he confesses her that he would want to reach the Moon. Oh, it is so beauty, so distant. But...How can he make it?
He starts, so, to tell to her mother that maybe he cannot does that because he doesn't have this characteristic, that other characteristic and so on: so, making comparisons (they're always nasty!) with the other animals of the forests and their abilities that according to him, he doesn't seem to have.
His mother smiles, replying point to point to the observations of her little bunny.
Little bunny at the end will fall asleep, maybe dreaming that he can reach the moon, but mainly, sleeping well having being reassured by his mom that he was born for being someone in grade to become a kind, nice rabbit.
Maybe he won't never go to the Moon, but after all isn't it better? There, he wouldn't find any fresh grass, or carrots, just a desertic land. He doesn't know that!
This children books focuses on the characteristics of every kid, telling them to stop to be too auto-critical with themselves. Every kid is plenty of talents; no reasons for nasty comparisons!
If a kid is discouraged, it's just necessary using proper words, as done by lady rabbit for reputting things in order.
Dreams are important and lady Rabbit doesn't want to discourage the bunny, just she wants to let him understand that he can reach all his goals also if not too tall, too strong etc.
Enchanting childrens book!
Highly recommended.
