This photographic book called Marcel Proust et Son Temps appeared the first time in the 1950s edited by George Cattaui a french writer of Egyptian-Jewish origin.
Pictures have always been fundamental for Marcel Proust. He loved to search and keep the ones of his beloved friends, relatives, people he had met and meant a lot to him, and of course he loved to being portraying. This, till at the moment of his mother's death. After that iconic moment, there won't be other pictures by him till at 1905 where being forced by a friend, will decide to appear in some of them. Why did he accomplish the desire of his friend? Who knows: maybe he wanted to leave to the posterity a closest pictures of him.
Eclectic man of arts, Proust remains one of the most intense writers of all the times.
